Greetings for the new year – a year of new hopes; a hope for better future and resolutions for making it better. Some of us celebrate this new hope, some give farewell to the year which delivered the expected for them and some celebrate the hope that it is over, for it was a difficult one for some like me..
There, certainly, were the things which could have been managed better... Experiences that make us feel, better to be inexperienced than to make mistakes and learn.. Relations that took years to build and moments to break... Situations with reasons many but logic none.. In general, an unforgettable year that reminds me Charles Dickens and a “Tale of Two Cities”...
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times; it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness; it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity; it was the season of light, it was the season of darkness; it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair; we had everything before us, we had nothing before us...
The year past was a difficult one and a year ahead is a hopeful one.. What regresses, never progresses, said Hazrat Umar ibn al Khattab (RA). I have decided to progress and leap into the year ahead.. for there is a hope – a hope that kindles my candle.

"You are not here merely to make a living. You are here to enable the world to live more amply, with greater vision, and with a finer spirit of hope and achievement. You are here to enrich the world. You impoverish yourself if you forget this errand".
I often used to repeat these lines ,and i used to have a daily look on these lines and i text ed it on a piece of paper and glued it on the wall of my hostel room.
So thatEvery morning i used to repeat the lines not to mug up them but to awaken myself to start my day full of opportunities.
lets us see this new year full of opportunities to work for some better.
year 2009 was full of events,some good and some not so good.we dont have the authority to say bad or worst coz everything comes from allah and He never does anything wrong to us,only we take time to realise.
ReplyDeletesome dreams were realised and some came to a sudden end.allah blessed us with a beautiful life or i must say replaced one most important with a precious one. above all we faced all together as a family a challenge that put to test our strength, patience, faith, belief, perseverence and what not and i believe inshaallah we didnt fail.this year taught me so many lessons,the biggest of which is that death is the biggest fact of our life and patience the biggest virtue.
with a lighter note i thank Allah for vonage that made my most difficult times easier with free calls to india.we talked our hearts out to relieve our pain which was impossible otherwise.
